Message from the President: Protectors of Public Health
September 25, 2008
The thought of bed bugs munching away on us at night is a wake up call to a world without pest management. Bed bugs and other vermin were all too popular in days gone by and it brings to light the important role that Pest Management Professionals play in the protection of the public’s health.
Action Pest Control provides many health related services to the public. One of the most undeniable ways Action protects the communities we serve is through our mosquito control services. Mosquitoes are known vectors of many diseases including West Nile Virus. Action’s mosquito treatments vary from our Back Yard Mosquito programs to city and county wide programs.
Bees and wasps are other common pests that cause much anxiety this time of year. I recently visited the home of a local doctor who, like many, is very allergic to bees. We are ridding a dead tree of a bee hive which unfortunately, no beekeeper could remove.
Action also offers a vast array of green and environmentally friendly methods to help control pest populations. We offer service to control rodents, cockroaches and many other insect and bird pest that frequent our yards and homes. Many of these pests can be controlled through non-lethal methods.
If you are currently using one of our services, I hope it provides you with the peace of mind to sleep tight and not worry about a bed bug bite! If you are having pest issues, have questions about one of our new services or are interested in one of our chemical free pest management services please call one of our team members today.
