Action Pest Control hosted four students from Oakhill Middle School on Friday. The students were participating in the annual Job Shadow Day sponsored by Junior Achievement of Southwestern Indiana. Scott Robbins, Technical Director at Action Pest Control, discussed various issues including what to do if bitten by a Brown Recluse spider.
For four years, Jim Deans, Preventive Pest Management Associate, has been the Workplace Host representing Action. Deans says, "Job Shadow Day is a great way for students to get a better understanding of pest management and the workforce in general. A lot of people think that we’re just going to come into their home and start spraying it down with chemicals. There is really much more to it than that."
