Groundhog Job Shadow Day was the perfect opportunity for Action Pest Control to educate young adults on the intricacies of Professional Pest management. "Junior Achievement kids are interested in business, what better way to showcase our industry than participating in this event sponsored by Rotary International" says Jim Deans, organizer of the event for Action.

Seven students from McGary middle school attended the 1/2 day event at Action Pest Control's flagship branch in Evansville, Indiana. The youths were taken on a tour of the facility, shown various pest specimens (both live and under a microscope) and given a presentation called "Nightmares in Pest Control" highlighting some creepy pests such as brown recluse spiders and bed bugs. They were then tested on the presentation and the two best scores received gift certificates to an area mall.

"They were a great group of kids and asked some very good questions" said Action technical director Scott Robbins.

This is the fourth straight year Action has participated in the event.
